Hard Rack

The boys are starting to loose their velvit, and this year they have put on some nice racks, including Vince. I think that Lexx lost his a little bit prematurely thanks to little Mushu who just had to think that he was a tough buck with his little spikes. I was doing some watering a couple a weeks back and he had Lexx trapped in the shed because unlike the does who could just run under the work bench, his rack prevented him from doing that, so they kind of got scratched up. Hoof was really the only one who wasn't intimidated from that little fart, and there has been a couple of times where Mushu got his ass whacked after he attacked his father. Dutchwood is the only one who still haven't lost his velvit, but I'm expecting that to happen with in the next couple of days.

I've been thinking about keeping Vince separated from the rest of the heard since he's getting up there in years. I don't like to do that, but the other bucks would just use him as a punching bag if I don't. Then again he's pretty good on keeping his distance when they start acting the fool. Mushu is the one that we're going to have to keep our eyes on the most since he thinks that he is a high school kid that is in heat. I think that after a few good bops in the nose, he'll chill out.

The does are usually never any problem except for Mulan who thinks that she need to chase after dogs. Then again, her son Mushu might try doing the same thing.

I have all of the fawn bucks spoken for. Two are going to be moving up to Oklahoma, and the Tan is going to be going to some who want to have some pet deer around their farm. I try to keep a close eye out to make sure that my deer aren't going to be going to one of them, "honk your horn" hunts. Yes I could make a big killing off of that, but that isn't the reason why I started to raise deer. If I did that, some of these boys are worth a lot of money.
